Maria joined Savills in 2025 as an associate after the Savills acquisition of Citydesigner. She is based at head office in London, working with the Heritage and Townscape team.
Maria has obtained a Bachelors and Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Coimbra, Portugal. Her dissertation focused on urban planning and governmental buildings in the post-war new towns in Britain and their evolution until today.
Her experience includes: conducting heritage and townscape assessments; producing documents for viability studies, pre-app meetings, planning applications, post-application clarifications and amendments, documentation for appeals and public inquiries; and attending meetings with the local authorities, GLA, Historic England, DRPs and other entities in the UK and Ireland.
Maria is also responsible for administrating new projects including bids, from communicating with clients and design teams, to producing fee proposals.
